The Suffragettes and Wales: Endeavour, conflict and a forgotten heroine

The Suffragettes and Wales

Mary Thorley (you may remember her excellent talk about the Rebecca Riots three years ago) returns to Coventry for our February meeting, to give her presentation entitled, The Suffragettes and Wales: Endeavour, conflict and a forgotten heroine.

This talk, illustrated with many images of Suffragettes and events relating to their cause, will be a lively journey through the development of the suffrage movement in Wales and Great Britain.

It will focus on the contribution that Welsh women made to the national and international struggle to win the vote, and reveal the story of one largely forgotten heroine.

Join us for the talk at Earlsdon Park Village Hall, Albany Road, CV5 6JQ at 7.30pm on Friday 7th February. Admission £7 (Cambrian Society Members £6). Pay on the door.
